EXPLORE NODA CHARLOTTE
Known as Charlotte’s historic art district, NoDa (North Davidson Street’s community moniker), is where you’ll find the funky, hip, artsy and cool side of Charlotte. Like many neighborhoods around Charlotte, NoDa started as a mill village in the early 1900s and after incredible community rejuvenation, today NoDa is more vibrant than ever. With its eclectic mix of restaurants, breweries, art galleries, local crafts, and worldly boutiques, NoDa is a highly attractive neighborhood that draws in big crowds on a daily basis.
The current construction of the LYNX Blue Line extension from Uptown to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, has invited a spike in urban renewal and development all across the north end of Charlotte. Upon completion (expected Fall 2017), NoDa will be even more attractive to young professionals, entrepreneurs, and more to reside and have an easy commute to Uptown, South End, and UNCC.
Real estate in NoDa is mostly composed of older architecture, some dating back to the early 1900s, that have been colorfully restored to match the area’s artistic flair. Like a large part of communities surrounding Uptown, are Craftsman-style bungalows and single-family homes intertwined with modern condominiums, urban lofts, contemporary townhouses, and hip new apartment complexes.
Along with the many unique restaurants and shops, other notable attractions in NoDa include: Neighborhood Theater, CenterStage Noda, The Evening Muse, and Amelie’s French Bakery.
