EXPLORE EASTOVER CHARLOTTE
Nestled between the distinguished Elizabeth and Myers Park areas, the Eastover neighborhood is one of Charlotte’s finest residential districts. Eastover was developed by E.C. Griffith Company in the late 1920s, and dubbed as the “Elite Automobile Suburb”. Since trolley lines were purposely left out of this development, its citizens were expected to all have automobiles, thus becoming Charlotte’s first exclusive automobile suburb.
A variety of top-notch restaurants and retail boutiques can be found along Providence Road, as well as art galleries, local markets, and more! On the opposite side of Eastover, along Randolph Road, is an extension of Presbyterian Hospital, a variety of private medical practices, and academic institutions.
As with its neighboring areas, Eastover is well-known for its beautiful curving tree-lined streets and historic homes. A mix of Colonial, Georgian, Craftsman, Bungalow, Tudor and Modern style home are seen throughout this area. Although this area consists mostly of large, single family homes, it does include several unique condominiums and new apartment complexes. This elite district is very attractive for newcomers and native Charlotteans alike looking for style, luxury, and family friendly close to Uptown.
A few notable attractions in Eastover include: The Mint Museum Randolph (Classical Fine Art), and the historic Manor Theater.
